Nature Inspired Clay Workshop with Ceramicist Patricia Griffin

Play in Clay is a one-day creative experience led by potter and naturalist Patricia Griffin where nature becomes your muse. Create two pieces, a small hand built bowl and a plate in Patricia's signature sgraffito technique.  No experience required.

Play in Clay - A Nature-Inspired Creative Day with potter and naturalist Patricia Griffin.  Nature becomes your muse and clay becomes your canvas.  No art skills or experience with clay required.  

Your play day includes morning coffee/tea and baked goods and lunch in the afternoon.  You can just relax and have fun!

Learn Patricia's signature sgraffito technique, the ancient art of etching marks into clay with nature-inspired imagery.  You will make a hand-built bowl and decorate a ready-made plate.

Patricia will glaze and fire your pieces, which will be ready to pick up approximately 4 weeks after the event.

Patricia Griffin, a ceramicist known for her nature-inspired work, is leading a workshop focused on translating natural forms into clay. This session offers insight into her process and provides hands-on instruction for creating your own pieces. Participants will explore different techniques for texturing and shaping clay, drawing inspiration from local flora and fauna.
