From Darkness into Light

“From Darkness into Light”explores the fullness of humanity - hope and fear, light and dark, clarity and confusion, similarities and differences, and of course, the importance of love as a force that brings us together. Accompanied by piano, organ, violin, and percussion, the concert will feature a range of styles from the “Dies Irae” of Mozart’s Requiem to Daniel Gawthrop’s “Sing Me to Heaven” to the uplifting and hopeful “As the Rain Hides the Stars” by Elaine Hagenberg. Additional works by Ysaye Barnwell, Jonathan Dove, Katerina Gimon, Kyle Pedersen, and Jake Runestad will be performed.
