You have the choice of two unique trains to take you on a journey around the historic Santa Margarita Ranch. Each ride will take about 20 minutes as you travel through holiday decor with life-size displays and lights, reminiscent of childhood dreams. Passengers will debark at Santa’s Barn where the “Big Man” himself and fun activities will be spreading holiday cheer.
• Train Option 1:
Historic Train with Open-air Train Cars
$40 (13+) • $25 (3-12) • Free (0-2, on an adult's lap)
Our steam and diesel locomotives will pull a series of “open cars” on this open-air railroad experience. This new train on the Ranch will offer open side and open top seats, so bundle-up and enjoy an outdoor ride through the Ranch.
• Train Option 2:
Historic Steam Train with the Original Disneyland Coaches
$40 (13+) • $25 (3-12) • Free (0-2, on an adult's lap)
This real steam engine has recently been refreshed and will be towing some of the original train cars that Walt Disney built and ran around the Disneyland Park when it first opened in 1955. Guests will ride inside these original cars as they travel the Ranch. While it is enclosed, please dress warmly as we may be riding with the windows down.
• NEW! Caboose Ride Discounted Tickets: $15
Our vintage caboose is the real deal and something so fun to take a ride on; however, it is not the best experience for seeing the Christmas displays along the tracks. We have created a special low-priced ticket that is limited to only 12 people in the caboose, which should allow for groups of 2-4 to share a small window where riders can enjoy limited views of the fun displays around the track. If you want to enjoy Christmas at the Ranch in the most affordable way possible, this is your ticket.
• NEW! Train Cab Rides: $100/person for steam cab rides and $80/person for diesel cab rides.
Have you ever wanted to ride in the cab of a locomotive? Here’s your chance! Paid cab rides will be offered, giving you a behind-the-scenes experience and opportunity to get a close-up look at a working locomotive. Closed-toe shoes and long pants required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This is a ticketed event. Friends and family who want to join you at Christmas at the Ranch must purchase a train ticket to enjoy the event.
