Step into a safe and nourishing space where tranquil sound becomes a gentle companion on your path to rest and inner peace. Guided by Dee DiGioia of Mindful Kindful YOUniversity, each Sound Journey — also known as a Sound Bath — offers a soothing and immersive soundscape designed to calm the body, quiet the mind, and support emotional balance.

The experience features a variety of therapeutic instruments, including crystal and metal singing bowls, chimes, gongs, and more — inviting you to simply rest and be held in waves of resonance that gently guide you toward deep inner peace. Integrative practices such as breathwork and guided meditation are woven throughout to deepen relaxation and presence.

One of the key ways this experience supports transformation is through brainwave entrainment — a natural process in which the body’s fluctuating rhythms begin to synchronize with stable, harmonious tones and frequencies. This encourages a shift from a stress-induced “fight or flight” state to a more balanced “rest and digest” state, where the body feels safe, calm, and grounded.

The instruments’ frequencies and vibrations encourage slower, more meditative brainwave states — such as alpha and theta waves — supporting the body’s natural capacity for relaxation, balance, and renewal. This shift within the autonomic nervous system can help ease tension, lower heart rate and blood pressure, improve mood, and encourtage the activation of the body's natural restorative processes that support balance and well-being.

    Light refreshments served afterwards.

    The Science of Sound Journeys

Sound immersion is widely recognized as a valuable complement to conventional medical and mental health care. Scientific research has shown that sound immersion experiences can support many dimensions of physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being by:

    • Reducing stress and anxiety
    • Increasing relaxation
    • Providing pain relief
    • Supporting immune function
    • Lowering blood pressure and calming heart rate
    • Improving sleep quality
    • Enhancing mood and emotional resilience
    • Enhancing body awareness
