The original group “We Three” was comprised of Barry Brown on guitar, Lee Wilder on drums, and Lewis Fains on keyboards. At the time, we were the musicians for Zion Baptist Church in Reading, PA. Soon after, we began receiving requests to perform for numerous activities outside of the church and we needed a name for promotional purposes. Barry Brown suggested the name “We Three”. The group formally came into existence in 2008. Since then We Three has performed at numerous banquets, weddings and religious events. These events include the NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet, Reading Berks Conference of Churches Prayer Breakfast, Central Baptist Association Annual Banquet, Women in Crisis Benefit Banquet, and Reading and Vicinity Ministerial Association Unity Day. Recently we added a new member to the band. We are pleased to have James Baxter as our bass player. His talent adds a fresh new dynamic to our group and we are blessed to have him as a part of We Three. All four current members of the band are accomplished musicians individually and have performed at several major venues. Currently Lewis and Barry are musicians at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, James is a musician for Spring Valley Church of God, and Lee is an Associate Minister and musician at St. James Chapel Church of God in Christ. Our music comes from various influences and genres. Among the many venues we perform, you may hear smooth jazz and standard pieces or R & B, Motown and old school numbers. However, our foundation is built upon the songs of praises to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
