Los Angeles based, Original Female Rock Band ABSINTHE, formed in 2007 by guitarist Briana Alexis. ABSINTHE'S signature rock sound, encompasses heavy guitars with powerful vocals creating catchy songs. The band regularly shares stages with national acts. They have played venues such as The Long Beach Grand Prix, The Del Mar Fair, The House of Blues, Key Club, Cat Club, Whisky Go Go, Roxy, Viper Room, Knitting Factory, Brixton, Club Derby and The Mint, Calendar Girls Festival, L.A. Marathon, LA Femme Film Festival, and Mamapalooza. The girls also performed at the 2009 Winter NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show at the Anaheim Convention Center. The band were also featured in Guitar Goddess Magazine and played the magazine's premier party at the Gibson Guitars artist showroom. Absinthe has been written up in Music Connection Magazine, Medal Maidens Magazine, MetaladiesMagazine, All Access Magazine, Femme Metal Magazine and were the Featured Artist in Airplay Direct Magazine for their ratings in September 2010. In May of 2010, the band released their EP La FéeVerte. The band closed out 2010 with a bang when they were the first runner up to be the featured band in an upcoming Adidas national TV ad campaign. The band kicked off the year by performing live in the studio on The Playboy Morning Show on Sirius Satellite Radio (XM 99) in January. They also shot a product video for the CarvinChannel. Absinthe debuted their video entitled "Filthy" from their EP La F'eeVerte.
