Do I need to bring my own shells?
Yes, 5 boxes will work if you are only shooting the 100-bird course. 8-10 boxes if participating in side games and mulligans. Shot size must be no larger than #7-1/2 or #8. We do not provide ammo. However, if you run out of shells, Mallard's Croft has shells available for purchase.
I'm shooting the morning flight. Will I still be able to partake in the bourbon and tequilia tastings when i'm finished with my morning flight?
Yes, shooters on the morning flight are welcome to participate in the bourbon and tequila tastings once all shooting activities have been completed. This includes the practice round, duck flush/5-stand, and the main event course.
For safety reasons, participants who plan to continue shooting after lunch may not participate in tastings until all shooting is finished.
How will shooting and alcohol participation be monitored?
All shooters will receive a color-coded wristband at check-in that must be worn to participate in any shooting activity. Once a participant has completed all shooting events, they must return to check-in to receive a separate color-coded wristband for access to the bourbon and tequila tastings.
To ensure safety and compliance, each participant's name will be checked against a master list when receiving a tasting wristband. Anyone who has been issued an alcohol wristband will not be eligible to receive or use a shooter wristband afterward. This process ensures that no participant engages in shooting activities after participating in alcohol tastings.
