Trick Daddy was born on September 27, 1974, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. His mother, Pearl Brockington of South Carolina, raised him and his 10 brothers and sisters in the Liberty Square apartment complex in Liberty City. The building where he grew up was colloquially known as "Pork-N-Beans" in reference to the color of the apartment doors.
