Carolina Giraldo Navarro (born 14 February 1991), better known by her stage name Karol G, is a Colombian reggaeton singer and songwriter. During her childhood, Carolina Giraldo Navarro participated in the talent show The X Factor. She furthered her studies at Calasanz in Medellín, and studied music at the University of Antioquia before moving to New York to pursue a musical career.
