My name is Alton Brown I used to direct TV commercials. But back in the early 90s I got a crazy idea to make a food show. It took a few years, but after culinary school and a few stops and starts, I finally made Good Eats and kept on making it for Food Network for 13 years. During those years I also hosted some other series including Iron Chef America, and Next Iron Chef. I've done a few seasons on Food Network Star and now host a game show called Cutthroat Kitchen, also on Food Network. I’ve written 7 books, including a 3 volume companion set to the Good Eats series. I illustrated them as well, which was fun. Al
