HALLOWEEN IN FEBRUARY?
THE PAYNE MANSION
(Built in 1881)
What better place to host an elegant Masquerade Ball than
at an old, famous mansion?
And what better area of the city than the affluent neighborhood of Pacific Heights?
The Payne Mansion is considered one of the most beautiful
locations of domestic and Victorian-era architecture in the United States. It just recently underwent a magnificent
$3,000,000 renovation, transforming it into a high-end boutique hotel with
modern, high-end amenities, while retaining its original charm, beauty and exquisite
craftsmanship that makes this 134 year old building one of San Francisco’s most
prized gems.
Due to the limited capacity of The Payne Mansion, this will be a much more intimate experience and highly exclusive event. Tickets are extremely limited. We do anticipate selling out in advance. It is strongly recommended you purchase your tickets very early in advance to secure your spot.
What Happens Behind the Mask
Stays Behind the Mask...
This is a Venetian "mask" party, in the spirit of
Carnival of Venice which commences in Italy every February. Back in 1292, the original purpose of the
Carnival of Venice was to serve as an excuse for people of different social
classes to mingle and indulge in behaviors that might be otherwise deemed
questionable, if not downright salacious.
The custom of wearing masks developed to protect the identity of the
Carnival participants and empowering them anonymous freedom to partake in their
most intimate of fantasies and desires.
The point of THE MASQUERADE BALL is to provide a sexy evening
of 'mystique' & 'playfulness' for you and your friends to experience the
freedom of anonymity behind the mask, leaving your inhibitions behind, and
setting your wildest fantasies free. So
get in the playful, adventurous Venetian spirit and prepare for what is sure to be one of the most
unforgettable & most tantalizing experiences of your lives...
COMPLIMENTARY VENETIAN MASKS PROVIDED
(Arrive Early for Best Selection)
However...
We highly encourage you to purchase your own unique mask so you "stand
out" from everyone else and that expresses your own one-of-a-kind “alter-ego”. There are
plenty of wonderful costume shops on Haight Street in San Francisco as well as
many wonderful online retailers that sell a wide assortment of Venetian masks
for very economical prices ($10-$25).
See list of recommended Venetian mask stores at bottom of page.
