About Dana Williams
Often described as a modern-day Ella Fitzgerald, Dana Williams is known for her enchanting vocals and dreamy guitar effortlessly mixing jazz, folk and soul music. Dana is the daughter of the late legendary rhythm guitarist David Williams, who is best known for his collaborations with Michael Jackson, Madonna and Whitney Houston. Notably, the LA based singer-songwriter starred in Apple’s 2014 holiday national ad performing a new rendition of Gershwin’s “Love Is Here To Stay.” Her song “Keep Me Waiting” was the only original composition featured in Damien Chazelle’s 2014 Oscar Winning film “Whiplash.” Dana's sophomore album Let's Fall featuring "Fooling Myself" was released in 2015 following her 2013 debut The Lonely One to much fanfare. In 2017, Dana collaborated with many artists from hip hop like Boogie (“Sunroof”) and Rejjie Snow (“Pink Flower) to electronic acts like Melvv ("Lifeline") and Fakear ("Give Me a Sign") amassing millions of streams. Dana has recently released several new solo songs including “No Pressure,” "Drifting," "Fragile Ego," "There You Go" “Honey.” and ‘Oh No No’ all of which have been on multiple Spotify playlists. Dana was the featured vocalist on Rejjie Snow’s “Egyptian Luvvr” along with rapper Aminé. The Kaytranda-produced song has garnered worldwide acclaim. Dana can also be seen in the most recent Adidas X Stella McCartney campaign for Stylebop.
