Join us Friday-Sunday, March 15-17, 2019 for a unique experiential culinary weekend featuring Solvang farmers, chefs, bakers, winemakers, brewers, distillers, and artisans showcasing the bounty of Santa Barbara wine country set amidst our quaint Danish town.
Taste your way through dozens of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and wine and beer tasting rooms while you explore our authentic architecture, thatched roof cottages, old-world craftsmanship, traditional windmills and rich Danish heritage.

Culinary Tasting Trail

The newly formatted Taste of Solvang Culinary Tasting Trail features multiple pop-up culinary tasting trail stops throughout downtown Solvang. At each stop, taste from a variety of restaurants, cafés, and food artisans while exploring the quaint Danish town. As a bonus, Hans Christian Andersen Museum, Elverhoj Museum of History & Art and The Wildling Museum will offer free admission for Culinary Tasting Trail ticket holders throughout the weekend.
Wine & Beer Walk (21+)
When: Saturday, March 16th from 2 PM - 7 PM and Sunday, March 17th from 12 PM - 4 PM

Enjoy complimentary tastings from 12+ participating wineries, breweries and wine and beer bars on this popular 2-day stroll through Solvang Village. Includes 2-3 1-oz tastes of wine or 2-oz tastes of beer at each tasting stop and commemorative tasting glass. Wine and beer tasting menus and options vary by location. (Must be 21 years of age to participate in the Wine & Beer Walk. Limited to 3 pours per location.)
“Thinking Outside the Box” Dinner at Root 246

Join Root 246 Chef De Cuisine Crystal “Pink” DeLongpre and Buttonwood Farm & Winery winemaker Karen Steinwachs for an evening of exceptional food and wine. Featuring an edgy, untraditional “outside the box” 5-course meal with wine pairings, highlights from the menu include uni risotto paired with hopped sauvignon blanc, heritage pork belly paired with a single, natural fermented sparkling and ribeye paired with cabernet franc (full menu below).

Danish Brunch

Join us for a seasonal Danish brunch hosted by Solvang’s best farm-to-table catering company, K’Syrah Catering & Events. Includes passed pork belly bites with real maple syrup and mini yogurt parfaits with sweet balsamic reduction and basil, followed by brunch buffet featuring local danishes and breads with whipped cream cheese and house-made jams, organic field greens salad with citrus vinaigrette, homestyle breakfast potatoes with farmers market vegetables, house-made Danish sausages, scrambled eggs with sautéed local squash, house cured and smoked lox with goat cheese mousse, pickled red onion, fried capers and micro greens on Solvang everything bagels, ‘Aeeggkage’ Danish style mini egg frittatas with caramelized onions and gruyere. Enjoy non-alcoholic beverages from the bottomless coffee, tea and juice bar. Want to enjoy a cocktail with your Danish feast?
