SOUL SCRATCH

Soul Scratch is a hard hitting groove machine, built in LA's San
Fernando Valley, on a mission to save the world from mediocrity. In
short, this is not your mother's soul band.

Johnny Chou, Joel Givertz, Adam Greenberg, Matt Reale, Dale Spollett
and a host of musicians combine their love of The JB's, Booker T & the
MG's, Curtis Mayfield, and all 1960-70's soul. Utilizing rock solid
rythme, soaring horn lines, and silky vocals to creating a uniquely
Southern California sound that has become their hallmark.

Soul Scratch is rapidly branching out of their LA base on a quest to
bring good times, quality get down, and their own special brand of
soul to every corner of the country.

“This album is everything that is great about soul music: bright
horns, funky rhythms, groovy melodies, and contemplative lyrics. Soul
music is not only alive but thriving and this album is proof.” - AXS

“Soul Scratch is one of those groups that you know you love within a
few seconds of hearing one of their songs.” - POPMATTERS

Killer Whale

"Baton Rouge's Thomas Johnson moved to San Francisco and brought a bountiful sense of creativity with him. Recording as Killer Whale, Johnson crafts psychedelic rock-pop from a mixture of acoustic instruments, electronics, and layered vocals. Johnson already released a new EP, Pink Pacific, earlier this month. One hopes that we'll be hearing more new music from this inventive singer-songwriter before the year is through." - The Bay Bridged
