We're proud to announce that the Showcase will be coming back to NYC this year. 20 bands from around the State of NY, surrounding States, and all along the East Coast, will tear it up at Blackthorn 51 in Queens. These amazing bands will perform for an Industry Panel that will consist of Record Label Reps and A&R, Legendary Producers, and Industry Insiders. .

Look who's on the Industry Panel this year..

MAX NORMAN: Max is one of the most well known, and legendary producers in the world! He's a A-List, Gold Record Industry Giant. His acclaimed work with OZZY OSBOURNE, MEGADETH, BAD COMPANY, FATES WARNING, SAVATAGE, Y&T, LOUDNESS, RED DRAGON CARTEL, and literally tons of other 'arena' bands, has made Max one of the most in demand Producers of our time. This will be his first year on the panel. We're extremely excited to be featuring this industry legend on the panel this year

THOM HAZAERT: A&R for COMBAT RECORDS / EMP (David Ellefson's label). Thom is one of the most well known figures in the Industry. He gained success at JIVE, WARNER BROS, INTERSCOPE, and lot's more. He was also behind the success of NONPOINT, LIMP BIZKIT, PAPA ROACH, and ton's more. He's extremely active in all parts of the industry. This will be Thoms 3rd year on the panel.
*An extremely busy panelist. In fact, a signing to COMBAT will be announced soon. This is a direct result from the 2017 Showcase.

MATT LaPLANT: Matt is know worldwide for producing albums for BIELER BROTHERS, ROADRUNNER, ATLANTIC, and many many more. His landmark work with NONPOINT, SKINDRED, SOIL, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL and lot's of huge names, even JUSTIN BIEBER, makes Matt one of the most in demand Producers in the world. Matt always chooses some Showcase bands to work with every year. This will be Matt's 11th year on the panel.

EBONY JEANETTE: PROSTHETIC RECORDS: Ebony gained international attention as a member of Century Media Records. She then started her own PR firm, and is also now a huge part of Prosthetic Records, which is known for launching the careers of LAMB OF GOD, ALL THAT REMAINS, SCALE THE SUMMIT, ACACIA STRAIN, ANIMALS AS LEADERS and more. Their current roster includes MARTY FRIEDMAN, STARKILL, SKELETONWITCH, THE ATLAS MOTH, and tons more. Besides her never ending work for the label. Ebony is also busy with her PR firm. This will be Ebony's 2nd year on the panel.
*Another extremely active panelist. Last year Ebony put her full support behind a few Showcase bands. Which resulted in a Billboard charting, a high profile gig at SXSW, and a PR push for another band.

KENNY COLGATE: Rep from ECLIPSE RECORDS: Artists include SAINT DIABLO, MINDSHIFT, GENUS ORDINIS DEI, NABERUS, COLD SNAP, and lots more. Alimni includes MUSHROOMHEAD, SCUM OF THE EARTH, and lot's more. Eclipse is quickly becoming a driving force in Metal.. This will be Kenny's 3rd year on the panel
*The label has been in talks with over 10 bands since the last 2 Showcases.

CHRIS & AIMEE KURTZ: MEDIATWIST GROUP & ROCK LITITZ (Live Nation) Chris the founder and CEO of Mediatwist (Est 2006). This is a well known Ad Agency vested in Social Media. They helped huge brands like FELD ENTERTAINMENT, DISNEY ON ICE, BARNUM & BAILEY, SUPERCROSS, MONSTERJAM, TICKETMASTER, and tons of National Acts. Chris is also a major player in the 5 FINGER DEATH PUNCH camp.. They refer to him as 'Captain Kurtz'. And he and Zoltan were the genius marketing minds behind the 5FDP brand. Aimee is the Pre Production Coordinator at 'Rock Lititz' for Live Nation. She is the 'direct to artist' liaison for some of the biggest acts in the world.
*Chris was a big part of our 2012 and 2013 Showcase. He also put lots of Showcase bands on tour. Great to have Chris (and now Aimee) back on the panel this year

*CEO Rick Herbert will be choosing 'one' Showcase band to receive an 'insane' custom merch package.

MASTERSOUND TAMPA: Mastersound is quickly becoming the most talked about recording studio in Tampa. The studio is co-owned by David Ellefson (Megadeth), and Thom Hazaert. They specialize in Rock and Metal but can accommodate any type of band or solo artist.
*They will be choosing '3' Showcase bands to receive free recording time at their luxurious studio in Florida
