Literary Speakeasy presents “Queens Read…Celebrity Autobiographies,” an evening celebrating the best of the worst celebrity autobiographies. Join us at Oasis and listen to our fierce performers read the campiest and most outrageous books penned by celebrities. These books are so awful they have to be good!  Our performers for the evening include, Clammy Faye, Coco Buttah, Elsa Touche, Foxxy Blue Orchid, Phoebe Cakes, Sugah Betes, and Vanilla Meringue!

A portion of ticket sales and all raffle proceeds will go to queer journal and press Foglifter. Foglifter publishes a bi-annual journal focused on powerful writing and intersectional writing that queers our perspectives. The journal has made a commitment to underserved queer writers and readers.

Literary Speakeasy is a monthly literary show at Martuni’s piano bar. The show is held on the last Thursday of every month at 7PM and showcases the best Bay Area writers, poets, and songwriters. Hosted and curated each month by James J. Siegel.
