A groundbreaking new series by Roy Choi and Tastemade
featuring ... Us!
We are PopCultivate, a supper club that infuses visual and culinary arts to explore creative expression. In the worlds of cooking and cannabis- everything is about communion. Bonds are made at the table, ideas and minds expand at the sesh- we eat, breathe, and live community. That is a huge part of why we are so excited to announce our feature on Roy Choi's new series, Broken Bread, brought to you by Tastemade and KCET.
"Broken Bread" showcases inspiring people who are making a difference in their communities through food. Restaurant entrepreneur, social activist and acclaimed chef Roy Choi takes viewers on a journey through his hometown, the city of Los Angeles, exploring complex social justice issues while meeting inspiring individuals and organizations who use food as a platform for activism as well as a catalyst for change.
In our episode, Cannabis: The State of Weed, Roy visits Chris Yang and Pop Cultivate to explore the emergence of a new culinary landscape since the advent of legalized recreational marijuana. The episode also features interviews with actor/activist Cheech Marin and Shep Gordon.
We will be joining together May 30th for an exclusive screening of our episode at Stage + Table in Santa Monica.
There will be drinks! There will be appetizers! There will be laughs and memories made!
Expect communal seating -- and to make a few new friends!
We'd love to see you there to celebrate this awesome collaboration.
