About

Located in the heart of Union Square, Taco Electrico is the latest project from hospitality industry leader, Gerber Group. Taco Electrico celebrates life through color and channels the creative energy – electricity! – of Mexico City, L.A. and N.Y.C.’s art, music, cuisine and nightlife scenes. The playful space, a collaboration with Fun People, works to transport guests with vibrant neon and LED light pieces, rattan porch swings, and one-of-a-kind embroidered portraits by Guadalajara artist Victoria Villasana. ‘Pops’ of orange, green, pink and yellow in the tables, chairs, dishware and cuisine itself builds on the theme, and together, these elements inspire vacation vibes and good feels only. Acclaimed chef, Fernando Navas' menu features Mexican plates for sharing, and fresh takes on the taco – with special attention to locally sourced veggies. The bar menu pays homage to Mexican spirits, tequila and mezcal, first celebrating the iconic Margarita before venturing further into the culture’s flavors: fresh fruits and veggies, herbs, spices and heat. ‘Gigantes’, large format cocktails meant for sharing, cervezas served tableside and a variety of wines from South America are also available.
