LILITH BEAR - a night of music and DJs, along side some kick-ass Lesbearonic drag! Hosted by Tamale Ringwald, LOL McFiercen and Cholula Caliente.
SUNDAY GOODS - Today people can experience the benefits of cannabis-based plant medicine in a controllable and personal fashion. We believe everyone should have access to the magic of this plant in a way that is specific for them.
MOTHER is a dance club that opens at 10:00 pm with a drag show at 11:30 pm. It is standing room only. Bring a current valid ID, Oasis is a 21 and over venue. All ticket sales are final. While we welcome and love everyone and are open to all types, bachelorette parties will not be admitted.
It has several meanings; the new "Mothership" of drag in SF, something warm and comforting, nurturing even. And it also ties into the "drag mother" thing. This will be a place for all drag mothers to bring their children, to hone their craft."
— Heklina in SFist article
Heklina co-founded Trannyshack, and has hosted the show from its inception in 1996 at the Stud bar and continues to host the special events throughout San Francisco and in other - mainly California - cities. Trannyshack is the longest running drag event series in San Francisco. On January 17, 2015 at The Oasis, Trannyshack was rebranded as Mother, evolving from a monthly to a weekly event series.
The Trannyshack stage has hosted many celebrities including Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, RuPaul, Charo, Michelle Visage, Mary Wilson and many of the contestants from RuPaul's Drag Race among others. In the early years of the club, Ana Matronic of the Scissor Sisters lived in San Francisco and performed frequently at Trannyshack before moving to New York in 1999.
