“A beautiful mixture of jazz and R&B… the sound of LA these days” – JAMIE CULLUM

“Dreamy, Swoon-Worthy R&B” – OKAYPLAYER

“Moonchild continues to hypnotize” – THE FADER

“On heavy repeat right now!!! Amazing Vibes!!” – DJ JAZZY JEFF

Moonchild are LA-based multi-instrumentalists Amber Navran, Max Bryk, and Andris Mattson. In 2017, the

group released their third studio album ‘Voyager’ on the Brighton, UK imprint Tru Thoughts. ‘Voyager’

follows two years after their widely-praised album ‘Please Rewind’, marking a new level of maturity in the

band’s sound. Recorded in a series of sessions in a cabin at Lake Arrowhead, California, Moonchild blend

their trademark style of soul and new-school jazz whilst exploring a diverse range of lyrical content. Fronted

by the debut single “Cure”, praise for the project has poured in, with vocal support across KCRW, BBC

1XTRA, BBC 6Music and NTS; a video premiere for the cinematic “Cure” with The Fader, and an upfront

stream of the sun soaked “Show The Way” via Okayplayer. Further reviews from DJ Mag, The Evening

Standard and LA Weekly add to support for the album, as well as online praise from NPR, The Fader,

Bandcamp (who featured the album in their top 100 albums of 2017), Soulbounce, Saint Heron and Jazz FM

playlisting. Voyager currently has over 8 million streams via digital platforms and is featured on playlists

around the globe. In the short space of four years, Moonchild have released three acclaimed albums and toured worldwide in support of the music. 2017 saw two headline tours and a host of dates with Kamasi Washington in the

United States, a sold out run through the United Kingdom and Europe, and three dates at the legendary Blue

Note in Tokyo, Japan. In 2018 the band will be headlining a spring tour in the western United States,

followed by a busy calendar of summer festivals around the world.

Gene Evaro Jr:

Hailing from Joshua Tree, California, Gene Evaro Jr’s sound is a mixture of soul, folk, electronic and funk. Gene Evaro Jr has the power and dexterity of Earth, Wind & Fire, and the music has the soulful craftsmanship of Stevie Wonder. Evaro can sing, play and lead in a way that brings to mind Stephen Stills or Prince. Watching Gene Evaro Jr and his band feels like you are experiencing some grand force of nature spiritually, like making love in a hurricane or testifying to the heavens in a meteor shower
