Mother Earth Sound System is proud to present our 15th annual Dia de los Muertos celebration! Saturday, November 4th, we welcome musical guests Antenes (NYC) and Hops (Berlin), with local support from Despise and Scott Everett. This will be an all-night session in an intimate Denver warehouse location, with Dia de los Muertos-themed costumes encouraged!

ANTENES
NYC - L.I.E.S.
New York-based DJ, producer and electronics artist Antenes operates a laboratory of self-made sequencers and synthesizers using vintage telephone equipment. Her DJ sets dive into hypnotic, acid-laced techno, shimmering electro, shadowy atmospheres and beyond. Three of her podcasts (LIES 025, Juno Plus 119, and Phormix 44) have been featured in FACT Magazine Week’s Best Mixes column. Her production debut, The Track of a Storm EP on L.I.E.S. reveals three tracks of otherworldly techno, with forthcoming releases on The Bunker New York and Silent Season. Antenes has appeared at MoogFest, NY Electronic Arts Festival, Open House London, and in the 2013 documentary I Dream of Wires. She also leads hands-on DIY synth workshops: the Monthly Music Hackathon, Dame Electric, and Women’s Synth Workshop.

HOPS
Berlin - Version
Berlin might be known for it’s constantly evolving techno scene, but bass music has a solid foundation there as well, and one of it’s foremost champions is Hops. A long-time fixture at the infamous Hard Wax record store, Hops eclectic DJ sets reflect the mixture of dub, techno, bass & dubstep that flows through the store. He also releases dubstep on the Version label, and is a regular DJ at the Version parties @ OHM, where recent guests have included Loefah and Ben UFO. He is, quietly, one of Berlin's best bass DJs.

DESPISE
Denver - Recon DNB
Co-founder and head of Denver's reputable Recon DNB collective, Maggie "Despise" has 15+ yrs of DJ experience. Mixing a diverse range of sounds within and around drum & bass and jungle, her style encompasses halftime, footwork, minimal, and retro-future jungle. With a passion for the more obscure and experimental sounds, she particularly gravitates to the deeper darker side of the spectrum.

SCOTT EVERETT
