Meet the Masters Welcomes Nicolas Krafft, Sabrage & Champagne Master
Miro is honored to welcome Nicolas Krafft for an
evening of champagne tastings and the art of French sabrage. The sabre à
champagne, or sabrage as it’s known in English, is the most spectacular
way to open a bottle of champagne. This involves
using a sabre to slice off the neck of the champagne bottle in
6 to 7 p.m. Perrier-Jouët champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception on the Miro Terrace
7 to 9 p.m. Exquisite four-course tasting menu by Miro Chef Johan Denizot, elegantly presented by Coast 2 Coast Collection and Bacara’s Creative Director Lorrene Balzani. Each course will be expertly paired with renowned wine selections by Nicolas Krafft.
$150 per person. Space is very limited; advanced reservations are required.
About Nicolas Krafft
Mr. Krafft holds an Advanced Certificate from Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). He has worked for Christofle since 2002, first as Managing Director for Asia-Pacific and later as President and CEO for the North American subsidiaries. Before Christofle, Mr. Krafft held the position of General Manager with AELIA Group from 1996-2002 specializing in alcohol, tobacco and gourmet foods. Mr. Krafft has worked in Europe, South East Asia, China and the United States. His extensive knowledge on Christofle, luxury markets and Champagne has been featured in many luxury publications such as French Morning, Newline, The Posh Report, Polo magazine, Imagine, and The Beacon Hills Times.
