Join with Robert Mondavi Winery and The Meritage Resort and Spa as we celebrate the life of Margrit Mondavi and the 50th Anniversary of Robert Mondavi Winery. Throughout this special evening we will celebrate the dynamic couple whose passion and determination brought California’s wine to the world and helped to position Napa Valley as one of the best wine regions in the world.
Robert Mondavi’s vision and ambition continues to inspire winemakers and wine connoisseurs alike. With that passion and vision in mind, Executive Chef Jeff Mosher from Robert Mondavi Winery and Executive Chef Ryan Rupp from The Meritage Resort have teamed up to create delicious dishes to pair with some of favorite Mondavi wines.
Our special evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a welcome reception on the Vineyard Terrace with a selection of appetizers prepared by our chefs to pair with the 2013 Robert Mondavi Winery Reserve Chardonnay and featuring music by Carl Vast. At 7:30 p.m., pull up your seat at one of our signature Kings Tables in The Meritage Resort Estate Cave as you begin to go on a six course wine and food journey with music by the Carl Vast Trio. You’ll learn more about Robert and Margrit Mondavi, and their 50+ year history in the Napa Valley while tasting a few of the wines that they continue to be best known for today.

In honor of Margrit Mondavi who passed away in early September 2016, a portion of each ticket sale for this dinner will be donated to The Oxbow School in Napa, which Margrit co-founded and loyally supported over the years. The Oxbow School is a unique, interdisciplinary semester program for high-school students that strengthen students’ abilities in creative and critical inquiry by combining rigorous studio art practice with innovative academics. Oxbow's aim is to help students develop a stronger sense of identity, self-worth, and the confidence to embrace the responsibility for their own learning and lives. Over half of Oxbow students receive financial aid which is possible due to the generosity of the community.
