Join The Meritage Resort as we welcome Charbay Distillery & Winery to our Estate Cave on Friday, January 13.
The dinner reception will begin at 6 p.m. on our Vineyard Terrace with appetizers and welcome cocktails. The reception will be followed by a multi-course dinner in the elegant Estate Cave set with a Kings Table. Each course includes a hand-crafted cocktail or wines from Charbay paired with a fabulous dish prepared by the culinary team from The Meritage Resort.
Throughout the dinner you’ll have the opportunity to hear from and mingle with 13th generation Winemaker and Master Distiller, Marko Karakasevic, to learn about his passion for spirits and the history of his distillery - an early pioneer in the modern American artisan distillery movement. Based in Napa Valley, the family lives and works amidst peaceful pine trees on Spring Mountain above St. Helena - affectionately known as "The Still on the Hill".

Beverage Recipes:
Bloody Mary
2 oz Charbay Meyer Lemon Vodka
2 oz V-8 (homemade if possible)
1 dash creamy horseradish
2 dashes Worchestershire Sauce
Combine all, stir or shake lightly, serve over ice in a rocks glass
Garnish with a Spicy Pickled Green Bean
R5 Manhattan
1.5 oz Charbay R5 Whiskey
.5 oz Antica Carpano Vermouth
Combine Whiskey and Carpano with ice, stir and then strain all into a martini glass. Garnish with 2 skewered R5 soaked Luxardo cherries.
Shiso Lemonade
2 oz Charbay Green Tea Vodka
2 oz Fresh Lemonade
3-4 Shiso leaves
Combine all and shake lightly, serve over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
100 Point Martini
2 oz Charbay Clear Vodka
Shake over ice and serve up in a martini glass. Garnish with skewered olive, onion, olive.
