First hitting the streets in April of 1998, this is our flagship and most popular tour. No neighborhood has such a myriad and influential history like Greenwich Village in Manhattan. It was home to revolutionaries, social commentators, labor movements, women’s rights movements, jazz and blues music, painting, debauchery and was the epicenter of the literary movement in America for over 100 years.
We'll go to 3 different historical bars with a strong connection to the literary and cultural scene of Greenwich Village. While you relax over a drink your guides will regale you with stories of the bars, the neighborhood, and the writers who helped make this one of the greatest cities in the world. We'll weave the streets and point out other locations of literary and alcoholic significance, or just plain interesting.
Through performances of the poems, prose and scenes of the writers you'll hear the words come to life on the streets where they walked.
Come be inspired and entertained like no other tour can do. Come Get Lit With Us!
