These terms and conditions are a binding contract between yourself and the Gaslamp Quarter Association. AGREEMENT OF THESE TERMS IS EQUIVALENT TO A DIGITAL SIGNATURE ON A CONTRACT. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. CANCELLATION OF AN ORDER IS NOT PERMITTED AFTER THE ORDER IS PROCESSED. If the event is cancelled you will receive a refund minus the Convenience charge WHICH IS NEVER REFUNDABLE. If you encounter any issues at the event, you must contact info@gaslamp.org within 5 business days following the originally scheduled date via a trouble ticket inquiry at in order to request a refund and failure to do so will waive your right to a refund. Not all refund requests will be honored. YOU CAN NOT EXCHANGE ITEMS OF YOUR ORDER PURCHASED FOR OTHER ITEMS FROM THE WEBSITE. YOU CAN NOT EXCHANGE ITEMS OF YOUR ORDER PURCHASED FOR MONEY TO USE AS CREDIT ON THE WEBSITE. REGARDLESS OF SITUATIONS SUCH AS INCLEMENT WEATHER, NATURAL DISASTERS, EXTENDED WAITS IN LINE AT TH E VENUE, FAMILY EMERGENCIES AND MEDICAL EMERGENCIES A REFUND WILL NOT BE ISSUED. All Event personnel have the right to refuse entry to any ticket holder, without a refund, for any reason at their discretion. Hazardous materials, weapons, fireworks, bicycles, wagons, skateboards, rollerblades, or dangerous pets are prohibited in event areas and possession of could result in revocation of event privileges. Gaslamp Quarter Association Customer Service If you have a problem regarding the Gaslamp Quarter Association website please contact us at (619) 233-5227. Shipping Shipping fees are nonrefundable. Tickets cannot be shipped to a PO Box address. Allow up to 5 business days for delivery for United States orders. Allow up to 8 business days for Canadian orders. If you enter an undeliverable address you will not receive a refund. Hence, if the package needs to be resent additional shipping fees will apply. Delivery can only be shipped to the billing address. Convenience Fee A non-refundable Convenience fee will be charged and will appear on your merchant credit card statement along with your order charges. Total amount is shown at checkout. By agreeing to these terms you signify that you have understood that the Convenience fee is non-refundable and agree to this Convenience fee. In most situations, a Convenience fee is always added to the price of the ticket. We make every effort to keep this Convenience charge as low as possible. This fee covers the overhead charges involved in box office operations not limited to ticketing software fees, credit card fees, labor, ticket stock, phone fees and more. Sometimes the Convenience fees charged are directed to us by the promoter, and sometimes includes fees all ticketing outlets are forced to charge for a show, such as venue facility fees, parking fees, etc. Thank you for supporting our independent business and understanding that this small fee helps to keep us in business. Return Policy If your event is cancelled, we will refund the amount you paid for your tickets (minus order processing, service and delivery fees) using the same payment method used for purchase. If your event is postponed, we will contact you with the new date and time. All Event personnel have the right to refuse entry to any ticket holder for any reason at their discretion. Venue and Talent are subject to change without notice and are not grounds for a refund. Season’s grrreetings, San Diegans! Prepare to unleash the holiday cheer through the streets of Downtown San Diego with your furry friends! The 11th Annual Vet+Pet West Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade presented by FOMO Bones returns on Sunday, December 16, 2018. All pet owners and their furry, feathered, and scaled companions are invited to don their favorite costumes and put their best paw, wing, and fin forward for this jolly promenade and Holiday Pet Market, which starts and ends at MLK Promenade Park, adjacent to the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter (401 K Street, San Diego, CA 92101) at Fourth Avenue and K Street.


Entry to participate in the Pet Parade is just $15 per pet in advance, and $20 on the day of the event. Free for spectators! 

Day-of ONLINE registration will end at 10AM on December 16th, however, you can still register in person onsite. 


Day-of registration and check-in will begin at 11:30AM. Guests are encouraged to register in advance as space in the Parade is limited and will fill up fast. For more information, please visit www.holidaypetparade.com.


The Pet Parade steps off promptly at 2PM from under the iconic Gaslamp Quarter Archway, and continues up Fifth Avenue takes a left at E street and down Fourth Avenue ending at MLK Promenade Park, where contest winners will be announced and the Holiday Pet Market will continue!  Festively-attired critters compete for bragging rights and prizes in fun costume contest categories. Dogs, cats, birds, and even fish are welcome to take part in this holly-jolly good time!


Registrants can be sure to grab a goodie bag full of fun samples, toys, coupons, and other gifts for your festive fur friends at the FREE Holiday Pet Market, open to the public from 12PM to 5PM with live music, presentations, and festive fun for all. Official viewing stations will be around the Gaslamp Quarter providing patios to view the pets on parade and specials to partake in. 

The best vantage points for the Pet Parade are along 4th & 5th Avenues between E and K Street from 2PM - 3PM (arrive early to peruse the Holiday Pet Market and guarantee a great spot to watch the parade).

Pet Parade Costume Categories:

Contest Rules: Each entry is automatically eligible for a chance to win one of our Contest Categories. Winners will be selected and announced at the Pet Parade Awards Ceremony on the stage immediately following the Pet Parade at MLK Promenade Park. Judges’ decision is final. Must visit the judging panel between 12:00PM – 1:30PM to be considered.


1. BEST UGLY HOLIDAY SWEATER – This category is open to pets and humans alike

2. CUTEST CRITTER – Self-Explanatory- This award is given to the pet deemed most aww-inspiring at the Pet Parade

3. BEST PET COSTUME – Awarded to the most all-around creative and elaborate pet costume. This award is for costumes of all types, whether it be festive, sports-themed, kooky or scary.

4. BEST PET COSTUME (NON-CANINE) – Awarded to the best all-around creative and elaborate non-canine pet costume

5. BEST PET HOLIDAY COSTUME – Awarded to the pet donning the most festive costume at the Pet Parade. All costumes are welcome at the Parade, but only those specifically celebrating the holidays are eligible to win this award.

6. BEST COSTUMED DUO – Awarded to the best costumed duo, whether pet-and-pet or pet-and-pet-owner

7. BEST COSTUMED GROUP (3 or more) – Awarded to the best costumed group of three or more in the Pet Parade. Get the whole family involved!

8. BEST FLOAT  – Awarded to the most creative float that showcases their pet the best.

9.BEST IN SHOW – (opportunity to be Grand Marshall at next year’s event) – Awarded to the absolute show-stopping, best costume of the Pet Parade. This award is given to the best of the best, and the winner is invited to join us and lead at next year’s 12th Annual Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade!


Third Annual Greyfrairs Bobby Award:

GreyFriars Bobby was a Skye Terrier who became known in the 19th century Edinburgh for supposedly spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner, a service man until he died himself in 1872. San Diego’s sister city Edinburgh, Scotland gave the gift of a bronze statue of Greyfriars Bobby that sits in the historic foundation’s pocket park. Greyfriars Bobby symbolizes Loyalty, Service and Friendship. This year’s recipient of the award will be Ricochet.

About

The Gaslamp Quarter Association® (GQA) is a non-profit 501(c)6 merchants association, representing more than 400 businesses located in within the boundaries of the Gaslamp Quarter. The GQA is the second oldest Business Improvement District in the City of San Diego, having been established under City of San Diego Ordinance No. 15647 on January 4, 1982. The GQA is contracted by the City to manage and promote the Gaslamp Quarter National Historic District, and is partially funded by the City of San Diego’s Small Business Enhancement Program. The GQA’s operation is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, and managed by four full-time staff members. The GQA Board and Staff works throughout the year to actively promote the Gaslamp Quarter as San Diego’s premier dining, shopping, and nightlife destination through community and media relations, special event production, management and growth of the Gaslamp Quarter digital footprint, and coordination of various promotional programs, member workshops, and forums for the benefit of our vibrant community.
