Gardens & Villa is fast approaching their peak of maturity as a band. After nearly 10 years together, they are no longer the starry-eyed boys from Santa Barbara, CA who once spent weeks camping in Richard Swift's backyard. Now situated in Los Angeles, G&V has spent the last year crafting new music together. With 4 of the original members reunited, the songs draw from the wellspring of nature, tapping into nostalgia while looking to the future. Through the flute, they give us the wind in the trees, and try to cut through the world's paranoia and pessimism with a sword of love. Within these songs, the alchemy that conjured the melodies and mysticism of their first self-titled LP returns with a quiet vengeance, pushing even deeper into something more distilled and pure. It's the sound of new beginnings, forged by four old friends who share a long history and a lot of love.
