DURAND JONES & THE INDICATIONS
Bayou-born soul sensation, Durand Jones got his start in the church, after being forced to sing in the choir of his rural hometown Hillaryville, Louisiana. When his music career took him to Bloomington, Indiana, he was selected to join the legendary Indiana University Soul Revue, and it was through his involvement that he met writer/producer duo Aaron Frazer and Blake Rhein. The three began writing and recording themselves straight to tape in the basements of Bloomington - and their debut album is now available on our record label, Colemine Records.

STREET JOY
You see a sweater in the department store. You pick it up to feel it out. Cotton? Polyester? You refer to the tag. Cotton. Ultimately, you decide to pass on the sweater (it is summer, anyway). You try to leave the sweater as you found it. You are folding the sweater. It is hard. Do not give up. You give up. You feel bad, so you try again. It is still hard. Eventually, you are satisfied with the amount of effort you gave and with the state of the sweater. You walk away. A song comes over the speakers that you have heard before. You Shazam it. It is Duran Duran.
This is Street Joy.
