Erin Coburn
https://erincoburnmusic.com
Performer and singer/songwriter from Kentucky, Erin Coburn has captivated her audiences since a young age, with her prowess on guitar, her powerful vocals, and bringing her own style of Rock with Blues influences into the 21st century. Those that attend Erin’s live shows describe her as having a mesmerizing stage presence with her intricate arrangements and dynamic lyrics that stirs the soul. She commands her band with an effortless confidence while giving the audience something unexpected, like shredding her electric ukulele during a hypnotizing solo.
Although, Erin has had a guitar in her hands since the age of two, seven is when she started playing the guitar seriously. At the age of ten, a former guitar teacher told her she couldn’t play the guitar and sing at the same time, but she quickly proved him wrong. By eleven, she was going to every open mic around her home town where she honed her improvisation skills with several local bands. She formed her own band and earned her first paid gig at age twelve. Erin recorded her first original album, Chaos Before Conformity (2015) at thirteen. These songs truly showed her young, unbridled creativity with catchy hooks and lyrics and placed in the top 100 on the Americana Radio Charts a few weeks after release. Erin's second album, Queen Of Nothing (2017), released at sixteen, is the expression of a woman coming of age in a confusing, mixed up, and often cruel world. The songs are easy to relate to, often hitting close to home. Fifteen tracks take the listener on a journey that is a little bit Alt Rock with a good dose of Blues. Currently being recorded is Erin's third album, which captures her natural progression to a more mature sound with edgier lyrics, searing guitar solos, and a dash of humor.
Erin regularly performs across the U.S. at venues and festivals of all sizes. She has performed with Grammy award winning artists in Nashville, was nominated for the 2017 Cincinnati Entertainment Awards in the Best Blues artist category, the 2018 Josie Awards for "Young Adult Artist of the Year" award for independent artists, and has played several shows and festivals, including Summerfest in Milwaukee, BlissFest in Michigan, and the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Arkansas. Some of Erin’s notable recent shows have been repeat performances at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago, the Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis, and being the opening act for The Marcus King Band, Larry McCray, and Three Dog Night.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Lucious Spiller discovered at an early age that God had blessed him with a special gift. Music permeated his home, and he absorbed it all. His father gave Lucious a guitar when he was four and taught him his first chords. Hailing from the Spiller family, Lucious continues the legacy of contributing to and enhancing the blues musical experiences of countless people across the country and the world. His grandfather and great uncles, “The Salt and Pepper Shakers” are founders of “Black Prairie Blues” and have a marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail in Macon, MS (Blues Trail link). His early memories include watching his father Lucious Spiller Sr, and his uncle "Magic Sam" playing at his home. He spent family reunions in Chicago at the home of his aunt and uncle, Hilda and Houston Harrington, watching his cousins “Chief” Eddy Clearwater, Vernon, and Joe Harrington, and many other blues greats perform and joke in the back yard.
Relocating to Arkansas at the age of 18, he forged his way through the ranks with an energy and fervor that to this day remain undiminished. He attended Philander Smith College in Little Rock and graduated with a degree in Elementary Art. In classes, symposiums, and his live shows, Lucious teaches all ages about the roots of the blues and shares his gift for bringing music to life, making it relevant to all ages. As the legendary “Sunshine” Sonny Payne remarked during Lucious’ performance and interview on KFFA Radio’s "King Biscuit Time”, “I think he knows what he’s doing, because what he’s telling you, he’s giving you a dose of authentic, we’re talking AUTHENTIC blues. We’re not talking about run of the mill. We’re talking about what they lived…they’re passing on to you.” (KFFA Radio Pt 1 link). Children are drawn to him, and his original children's blues song "Pat Your Foot" has kids and adults of all ages patting their feet.

His self-produced acoustic blues CD, "Born to Sing the Blues", is a favorite of blues fans all over the world. His recently released “Lucious Spiller Live Volume 1” and “Volume 2” were recorded live at Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS and capture the true essence of a live blues/rock/R&B show in the world epicenter for the blues. Lucious is featured in the award-winning documentary "True Delta" and streaming reality series "Moonshine and Mojo Hands" (Moonshine and Mojo Hands link). Lucious performs in CNN’s Great Big Story: “If You Build It, They Will Come“, with the late Robert “Bilbo” Walker. (CNN "wonder Light City" link). In 2015, Lucious kicked off the inaugural bus tour of the Americana Blues Triangle with a stunning solo performance in Helena, AR. He also appears in the recently released documentaries “Mississippi Ramblin’” and “Mississippi Miracle”.

Best selling author, Chef Edward Lee, in Buttermilk Graffiti, describes Lucious and his music like this: “Lucious doesn’t play one genre or another; he melts them into something uniquely his own”. Travel Tips and Pics says this: ”He isn’t just playing the guitar, he IS the guitar – kind of like when good actors become the part instead of just playing a role." The Associated Press had this to say: "Red's showcases under-the-radar, brilliantly talented musicians like Lucious Spiller, whose performances will make you realize why the blues still matter." (AP News article link). Bo Diddley, after performing with Lucious, exclaimed, “I done played with a bunch of musicians all over the world. But, son, you got it!”
