March Exhibition by LOGAN HICKS
Logan Hicks is a New York-based stencil artist whose work explores the dynamics of the urban environment. Originally a screenprinter, Logan’s work has gained notoriety due to his ability to capture the sometimes mundane cycle of city life in a haunting, yet refined way with his hand-sprayed stencils.
Effie Liu, FKA Bebe Panthere, writes dance-inducing electro pop tunes that capitalize on bubblegum sweet vocal melodies, hip-hop cadences, and the spoken word playfulness of New Wave. It comes as no surprise that her hair is dyed a dazzling neon pink, as it’s a direct reflection of the bright vibes permeating through her music. Her debut EP, Pink Sweat, was released in late October, and it’s a collection of fresh, edgy tracks that any Talking Heads / Chromeo fans will immediately connect with.
Mondrian SoHo opened February 2011, and was the third Mondrian and the company's downtown debut. Designed by Benjamin Noriega Ortiz, the 270-room hotel features an indoor-outdoor bar and restaurant offering layers of experiences from a lush enchanted garden to informal social seating. Inspired by the Jean Cocteau Film, "La Belle et la bete", the hotel seduces and inspires guests through distinct environments from the lobby courtyard to the jewel-box rooms.
