The Auto Moto Film and Arts Festival is opening it’s doors in the Motor City May 28th - 30th, 2015.
Please join us for our inaugural year in Detroit Presented by Quicken Loans and Opportunity Detroit. We’ll be screening some of the best Auto Moto films and award winners from our past events. Plus some of our never before screened picks from our vault.
Detroit Premiers
Havana Motor Club right after it’s screening at the Tribeca Film Festival. This is an incredible look into Cuban car and racing culture where Cuba’s top underground drag racers struggle to prepare their Classic American Hot Rods for the first official car race since the revolution.
Going Attractions – Once a vibrant part of American culture, drive-ins reached their peak in the late 50s with almost 5,000 dotting the nation. Although drive-ins are experiencing a resurgence, today less than 400 remain. In a nation that loves cars and movies, why haven’t they survived? Includes footage of the Ford-Wyoming Drive in and interviews with beloved manager Ed Szurek.
Plus more films, shorts, and guests to be announced..
In addition to film we love Auto Moto Art of all types so stop by our base of operations and enjoy an exhibit curated by famed Detroit local artist Camilo Pardo at his studio in the Bankle Building.
If you live in or around Detroit and like good films or cars (oh yeah its Detroit) you don’t want to miss this years events.
