Singer/entertainer/actor, Leonard Barrett Jr. is best known for his starring roles with the Phamaly Theater Company. Most recently he made his debut with the Denver Center Theater Company playing the Ghost of Christmas Present in “ A Christmas Carol.” He has won: The Denver Post Ovation Award, The Denver Post Readers’ Best Actor Award and Westword’s Best Season for an Actor award.
Leonard is the consummate performer, an amazingly soulful singer with a charismatic stage presence and an undeniable connection to his audience. This event will feature him paying tribute in story and song to the legendary: Nat King Cole.

Born in 1919, in Montgomery, Alabama, Nat King Cole, the critically acclaimed musician, was a popular singer and actor who first came to prominence as a masterful jazz pianist. Admired for his talent as a musician, he owes most of his popular musical fame to his soft and beautiful baritone singing voice. He was a top pop solo artist selling millions of records such as, “Nature Boy,” “Unforgettable,” and “Mona Lisa,” and was the first Afro-American to host his own television show.
