Age Limit: 21 and OverI was born in Aguililla, Michoacan and came to Fresno when I was 7 years old. I started singing In school and got my first chance To record my first demo at 14. I have been working on my singing career here in the valley since then. I started traveling out of the state, opening shows for bands such as: Grupo Tentacion, Oro Norteno and Los Fugitivos to name a few. In the year 2007 I was chosen to be a contestant on the singing reality TV show “Objetivo Fama” aired on Telefutura by Univision. Out of thousands that auditioned in the whole United States and Puerto Rico, I was one of 20 contestants to appear on the show placing 11th in the competition. In 2008 I got asked to be a part of a show called “Los Favoritos” where eight contestants of seasons one through five of Objetivo Fama were picked as the favorites to do a concert Titled “Los Favoritos.” I came back to Fresno to finish the photo shoot and music video for my album, which is now on itunes titled Luz Maria- Me Gustaria.
If there is one important thing I have learned about reaching your dreams is that you must not wait on someone to make it happen. This is such a tough industry but I will never give up, this is all I ever wanted to do in my life and I am living my dream singing wherever I can=).
