In addition to his own headlining tours, he has opened worldwide shows and tours for such artists as B.B. King, Al Green, Toots and the Maytals, Jon Butcher, Sonia Dada, Seal, Aaron Neville, Beth Hart and Robert Cray. His voice & music have been heard in numerous films including Great Plains, Soul Men, Phat Girlz and the Oscar award winning motion picture Crash and has been heard on such T.V. shows as Rosewood, True Blood, Grey's Anatomy, Brothers and Sisters, Single Ladies, Eli Stone, In Plain Sight, Dawson's Creek and Army Wives. In 2017, Chris Pierce also co/wrote the hit song "We Can Always Come Back To This" featured on NBC's This is Us. Upright bassist, Dr. Cooper (aka Dylan Cooper), began his career in Seattle, Washington's eclectic improv-heavy music scene, and after signing a deal with A&M founders Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss, returned to his native Los Angeles to work as a sideman and session bassist. In addition to recording and performing with Reverend Tall Tree, Dr. Cooper has accompanied Fitz and the Tantrums, keyboard whiz Money Mark (Beastie Boys, Beck), and sultry Nashville crooner Jessie Baylin, among others. Off the road, 'Dr. Cooper' builds musical instruments, scores independent films and TV, and has produced and arranged 6 albums to date. Born in NC and raised in a family with a deep appreciation of music, Sam Meek was inspired by his father and grandfather, and like them, he gravitated to the guitar at an early age. That passion eventually led him to study at Musician's Institute in Los Angeles. Now based in LA, he continues to perform and record professionally with many great artists and musicians in the thriving LA music scene like: Reverend Tall Tree & The Blackstrap Brothers, Paulie Cerra, Groove Legacy and the guitarist at the Church of Spirit & Life Ministries. Some other artists/musicians he has performed/recorded with include: Janiva Magness - (Award Winning Blues Artist), James Gadson (Drum Legend), Kirk Fletcher (Blues Artist), Joe Bonamassa (Blues/Rock Artist) Travis Carlton (Bassist) and Paul Barrere (of Little Feat). Professor Lovejoy (aka Chris Lovejoy) is a drummer/percussionist raised in the Lone Star State. After studying to become a symphonic percussionist in college he abandoned the classical world to play hand drums. He moved to NYC where he studied with two of the finest percussionists in the world: Mino Cinelu and Bashiri Johnson. He toured with jazz guitarist Charlie Hunter for 2 years and played the world over. He also recorded with Norah Jones, Kurt Elling and Mos Def during his tenure with Hunter. For the past 10 years he has been living in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to recording and touring with Reverend Tall Tree, Lovejoy has toured and/or recorded with such artists as AM, Tristan Prettyman, Chris Pierce, Deepak Chopra, Kat Edmonson & Matt Nathanson. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ol' T Parker (aka Trevor Menear) started playing guitar at age 10 and fronted several bands growing up in the suburbs of Chicago. He was fortunate enough to open for acts such as Johnny Winter, Sugar Blue and the Wooten Bros. at a very young age. He went on to study jazz performance at University of Tennessee in Knoxville for 2 years. He made his first debut as a solo artist to most people in 2007 on Yoko Ono and Warner Bros. joint effort Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur. In 2007 he moved to Los Angeles where he has recorded numerous records as a solo artist, as well as a sideman. He also plays locally with a varying pool of musicians including Reverend Tall Tree, Boom Boom Boom, The Diamond Light, LP and Leslie Stephens.
